When a customer orders something valuable online, the moment between “out for delivery” and “in their hands” can feel like the longest wait. That’s why we’ve built the Secure Delivery Suite—a set of delivery protection tools designed to give both you and your customers peace of mind.
Why delivery protection matters
Lost or misdelivered parcels don’t just cost money, they erode trust. For businesses shipping high-value goods, a single “I never received it” claim can wipe out the margin on a sale and damage a hard-won customer relationship.
Research shows that delivery-related issues are one of the top reasons customers hesitate before purchasing high-value items online. By adding verification at the point of customer handover, you can reduce claims, resolve enquiries faster, and give your customers the confidence to click “buy”—even on big-ticket orders.
What is the Secure Delivery Suite?
The Secure Delivery Suite is a set of verification tools built into Amazon Shipping that confirm your parcel has reached the right person. Each tool adds a layer of proof at the moment of handover—whether that’s a passcode, a signature, or a photo—so both you and your customer have a clear record of delivery.
You choose the level of protection that matches the value and sensitivity of your shipment, and it’s applied automatically, with no extra effort on your part. Think of it as a safety net: lightweight where you need speed, and robust where you need certainty.
What’s included in the Secure Delivery Suite?
We’ve brought together three levels of protection so you can match the right safeguard to any shipment:
One-Time Passcode |
A unique code is sent to your customer before delivery. The driver collects the code at the door before releasing the package. No code, no handover—the strongest protection for high-value orders. |
Signature on Delivery |
Your customer provides a digital signature before handover, providing verified proof of exactly who accepted the package—ideal for insurance, compliance, or dispute resolution. |
Photo on Delivery |
A privacy-blurred photo is captured at every handoff and available in Shipper Central and on the customer tracking page within minutes. Provides visual proof that resolves “where’s my order?” before it becomes a formal claim. |
How it works
Starting 11 June 2026, One-Time Passcode verification will automatically apply to shipments with a declared value above £200 for orders placed outside of Amazon.co.uk. Your highest-value shipments are protected from day one—no setup required.
Want to extend protection further? You can set your own value thresholds in Shipper Central under Settings > Secure Delivery. Once configured, protection is applied automatically based on the declared value of your goods. You can adjust or remove your thresholds at any time.
Fees appear as a separate line item on your invoice. You can view your rates under “Your accessorial charges” on the Shipping Rates page.
The bottom line
Delivery protection isn’t just about reducing costs—it’s about building the kind of experience that brings customers back. With the Secure Delivery Suite, you get:
- Fewer claims—verified handovers mean fewer “did not receive” disputes
- Faster resolution—photos and digital signatures give you evidence in minutes, not days
- Greater customer confidence—shoppers are more likely to purchase high-value items when they know delivery is secure
Whether you’re shipping electronics, jewellery, or designer goods, the right level of protection is just a few clicks away.
